About Passive & Energy Efficient Home Design

Our Vision is to design Energy Efficient Homes and Renovations that provide high levels of comfort with a very low running cost .

With a background in Mechanical Engineering having worked in Mining and Power for 40 years Company
Founder Vaughan Bartleson has research how to design and build Passive Energy Efficient Homes that are
affordable, comfortable to live in, smart and attractive but consume minimal cost to heat and cool.

Vaughan has studied the Passive Home Principles that Europe has been building homes too since 1995
and wanted to help others learn and see what he has discovered in this modern world of high spiralling
power cost. For many it’s just too complicated, so we make it easy and show you how you can live in a home
of extreme comfort with very low energy cost .

The design focus

Is to build an attractive energy efficient home that maintains a constant temperature of 22c in winter and summer with minimal heating and cooling costs.

We use Insulated Architectural Cladding and Roofing

As well as following the Passive Home Principles developed in Europe in 1995 that are designed to maintain 22c in winters of -5c and summers of 35c .

Smart & Advanced Designs

Our designs cover Insulation from Slab to Roof, Weathertight & Airtight Walls, Upvc Passive Windows and Doors, Multi-Glazed E Glass, Heat and Recovery Ventilation, Site Orientation, Attractive and Functional Gardens.
